Through sustainable techniques, innovation and a proprietary process, Columbia Pulp will become the first of its kind to convert waste straw from area farms into pulp. HMI is proud to support Columbia Pulp in this venture. The state-of-the-art facility will utilize a self-contained, energy efficient process to generate tree-free pulp thus positively impacting forest sustainability. The 449 acre project is expected to be completed by mid-2019 and will bring 100+ jobs to southeast Washington.
